 Lisa Newton
Hospital  Manager

 I have been at Rockdale Animal Hospital as the Practice Manager since November 2005.  After working in the  hospitality industry for almost 20 years, I decided to pursue a career that I could use my  management experience as well as be with the animals I love. As the Practice Manager, I am responsible for the "business side" of the hospital. My compassion for animals led me to start a no kill animal shelter in 1999, For Paws Sake, where I currently am on the Board of Directors.
My husband Wesley and I share our life with our precious dogs and cats.

Receptionist

My love of animals got me started in 1976 as a groomer, assistant and receptionist at a local veterinary clinic.  In 1983, Dr. Crain asked me to fill in for his assistant for several weeks at his small practice in a shopping center.  I have been with Rockdale Animal Hospital ever since!  The reason I have worked at Rockdale Animal Hospital so long? Everyday holds a new challenge and I never know what the day will hold in store. The clients and their pets have become somewhat my second family!

I share my home with Rayce, my constant companion who has gone to Rockdale Animal Hospital with me to work since he was 3 days old, 2 other dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse, and 12 chickens.

Groomers

Candice, our full time groomer, works Monday  - Friday and some Saturday's. She is available for drop offs as well as appointments through out the day.  Candice has been grooming in the Conyers area professionally for two years, but grew up in the grooming field with her mother, Becky. 

Becky, is our part time groomer who works Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. She is also available for drop offs or appointments through out the day.  Becky has been a professional groomer in the Conyers area for over thirty years.

Receptionist 

I began at Rockdale Animal Hospital in March 2007 and love it here! The staff, clients, and animals have all become a second family to me.  Because of my love for animals, I have worked in cat rescue for over 15 years.
  
I share my home with my husband David, adult daughter Elizabeth and two home schooled children Hannah and Charlie.  We also have the priviledge of being loved by dogs, cats, birds, a gecko, three rats and chickens.

Veterinary Technician

I have been employed at Rockdale Animal Hospital since May 2008.  I have been working as a veterinary technician since June 2006. Prior to working at a veterinary office I worked at a local pet store. I grew up in Conyers, graduating from Heritage High School.  I share my home with three felines, Tigger, Charlie and Stinky, and a boxer named Abbie.

Veterinary Technician

I have been a veterinary technician since 2003 and have recently joined the staff at  Rockdale Animal Hospital in March 2009.   I attend Georgia perimeter College and am pursuing a nursing degree.  I have 2 Chincillas, 2 Presa Canarios, and an Akita that I love very much.
I love working in this field and enjoy working with the pets and their owners on a daily basis.

Veterinary Technician

I have been at Rockdale Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician since November 2008.  I am currently enrolled at Georgia Perimeter  College.  I love working at Rockdale Animal Hospital with the pets and all of their owners.  I have a dog, Seze Marley, and a  cat Frank Vito that I adore.

Veterinary Technician

I have been working as a veterinary technician since 1993. I have been licensed since 2004. I first started at Rockdale Animal Hospital in 1993 and worked here for 8 years and came back home in April 2009.  I currently live in Conyers with my three dogs Zach, Deja and Payton.

Basher has been with us since 2008. He enjoys greeting our clients in the lobby and resting in the doctor's chairs while they are working.  Here he is "helping" Lisa at her desk with some computer issues.

I have been working at Rockdale Animal Hospital since February 2009.  I currently live in Conyers with my boyfriend, Shane, 4 cats and 3 dogs. My newest addition is a kitty named Graham.
